KURZ is a worldwide leader in thin film technology with over 5,500 employees. Our coatings decorate products, enhance brands, label goods, protect surfaces and prevent counterfeiting. Moreover, We insert optical elements with digital functions, linking the visual to the virtual world.

Our coatings decorate products, enhance brands, label goods, protect surfaces and prevent counterfeiting. Moreover, We insert optical elements with digital functions, linking the visual to the virtual world.

KURZ transfer coating is the slimmest decoration process with the lowest material requirement in the world. With a layer thickness of only 1.5–3 μm, our applications account for only one percent by mass of your total product, be it plastic, paper, or cardboard.


Digital Metal

KURZ digital transfer will have you taking on customized, metallic-gloss print jobs – from small batches to bulk production. Print on Demand is one of the main features of digital transfer printing. Fürth/Germany, May 12, 2022: What lies ahead for efficient and sustainable surface finishing? This summer, label and packaging manufacturers can learn about future trends and innovative technologies. From June 20, 2022, to October 28, 2022, LEONHARD KURZ is hosting the KURZ LABEL WEEKS on the premises of the company’s Fürth headquarters. Excellent Finishing with Slimmest Material Costs
At LEONHARD KURZ, our work is committed to the sparing use of natural resources. This involves, first and foremost, minimization of the raw materials used:

KURZ transfer coating is the slimmest decoration process with the lowest material requirement in the world. With a layer thickness of only 1.5–3 μm, our applications account for only one percent by mass of your total product, be it plastic, paper, or cardboard.

We employ only ecologically harmless materials and do not use ozone-depleting, halogenated hydrocarbons, chrome (VI), cadmium, lead or mercury. We apply our designs only in dry, wastewater-free processes like hot stamping, and cold- and digital transfer. Our decorations are thus 80 percent less carbon-intensive and easily recycled and deinked. Further reading
